Details

This walk requires advance booking via Meetup and is limited to 30 walkers. Please do not turn up without booking, only sign up if you intend to come, and cancel in good time if you can no longer attend so that someone else can take your place.

Our walk today takes in a variety of scenery, from rolling hills to peaceful woodland to the River Thames.

We will head off from Goring and Streatley station, taking in these quaint villages before we head towards the Ridgeway via Rectory Road. At peak elevation, we'll turn into Unhill Wood where we will reward ourselves with a lunch stop.

After lunch, we'll continue to the village of Moulsford. Here, if time allows, we may have a brief pub stop at The Beetle and Wedge before we head back to Goring via the Thames path.

We will end at The Catherine Wheel pub where you can join us for a well-deserved drink if you like or head back home.

Ascent: 151m.

This walk will be led by Richard G..

Please see our website for more information about the group.
