A Ramble Through the Lanes of Aldermaston and Beyond, 7.5 miles, Easy
Details
Join us for “A Ramble Through the Lanes of Aldermaston and Beyond”, a 7.5 mile circular walk starting at 10:30am from Aldermaston Station.
Leaving the station, we’ll soon head out into the peaceful Berkshire countryside, following a mix of quiet country lanes, footpaths and field paths as we make our way towards the village of Beenham.
We’ll pause for a short break at Beenham Church, a pleasant spot to rest before continuing the walk through rolling farmland and rural tracks towards Chapel Row.
We will stop along the way somewhere to have lunch. Once we have eaten and are refreshed we will continue towards Chapel Row.
Once we reach Chapel Row, there will be an optional stop where we can enjoy refreshments at The Bladebone pub or the café next door, a great chance to relax before the final section of the walk.
From there, the route continues on towards Upper Woolhampton, before looping back through the surrounding countryside and returning to Aldermaston to complete the circular walk.
The walk will be taken at a steady and sociable pace, with plenty of time to enjoy the countryside, good company and a couple of well-placed stops along the way.
