Today’s evening walk takes us through Newbury’s water meadows and Northcroft Park. Starting at Newbury station, we’ll walk through the Market Square towards the Lock, Stock and Barrel to join the Kennet & Avon Canal. Here, follow the canal out of Newbury towards Guyer’s Lock, where you right into the water meadows. After walking through these, follow the footpath towards Northcroft Park, which you walk through to get back to Newbury to finish the walk at the station. For those who want a pub stop at this point, we’ll be stopping off at the Lock, Stock and Barrel, which is a short walk from the station.

Travel Details
Train: The recommended train to get is the 18:08 GWR service from Reading that arrives in Newbury at 18:38.
Driving: Newbury station has a good size car park, where parking fees apply.
