Today’s evening walk takes us around Woolhampton as well as the nearby Upper Woolhampton. Starting at Midgham station, we’ll follow New Hill Road towards Angel’s Copse, where we then head towards Douai Abbey. Shortly before reaching here, we’ll turn onto Clay Lane as well as another footpath towards Douai Park, which we walk through towards St Peter’s Church and into the graveyard. We then walk along Woolhampton Hill back towards Woolhampton and Midgham station to finish the walk. For those who want a pub stop at this point, we’ll be stopping off at The Angel, which is a short walk from the station.
