Falling for Woolhampton - An Autumn Adventure, 6 miles, leisurely
Details
Fancy a leisurely autumn stroll surrounded by beautiful countryside, colourful woodland and the satisfying crunch of leaves beneath your walking boots? Then come and join us for a lovely six-mile autumn adventure around Woolhampton!
We'll start from Midgham Station and head out towards Elstree School, passing the beautiful Benedictine Douai Abbey before continuing towards Greyfield Woods and through Ironmongers Copse. This is where we'll really get to enjoy autumn in all its glory, with woodland trails filled with beautiful shades of golden yellow, burnt orange and rich rusty reds.
Our route then takes us up towards Chapel Row, where there'll be an optional late-morning refreshment stop at the new Diddly Deli – a perfect opportunity to grab a drink and have a little breather.
With refreshments enjoyed, we'll head towards Bucklebury Common before beginning our journey back towards Woolhampton, taking in more autumnal scenery as we make our way through Channel Wood.
We'll eventually arrive back in Upper Woolhampton before heading downhill towards Midgham Station, completing our circular countryside adventure.
Expect crisp autumn air, colourful woodland, crunchy leaves underfoot and plenty of lovely Berkshire countryside along the way.
So dig out your walking boots, wrap up warm and come along for some fresh air, good company and a little autumn magic!
As this is only a short 6 mile walk we wont be stopping for lunch but do have a cafe stop but do bring some water and snacks with you.
