AUGB March: Makossiri, Tuning systems and Live 12

Makossiri is a Producer, musician and DJ from Kenya now based in Berlin. Her music blends electronic beats with interesting textures and polyrhythms with influences of techno and gritty club music, a genre she terms as 'Afro-Future Tech'. Makossiri has also designed a unique instrument called the ‘Nyadungu’ that uses a microtonal and non-traditional tuning system.

At this User Group meetup, we will be discussing the release of Ableton Live 12 and showcasing its new “Tuning” feature, which allows for users to create custom scales and unique tuning systems. Makossiri will also be giving a performance and demonstration of her Nyadungu.
