Galactic Shadow Play & What We Learn from CMB

Details

This event has been rescheduled to Aug 3rd!

๐ŸŒ›I always find it fascinating how accidental some of human's greatest discoveries seem to be. Cosmic Microwave Background Radiation ๐ŸŒŸis one.

๐Ÿ”ญ Discovered 60 years ago, it provides an incredible wealth of information on the initial condition of our universe. By observing it, we can take a glimpse of what happened in about 14 billion years ago, how our universe started, evolved, and became what it is today from which the beauty of the cosmos emerged.๐Ÿช

On August 3rd, we'll have the pleasure of having Dr. Emmanuel Schaan๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿ’ผ, Staff Scientist at SLAC National Accelerator Lab, with us to talk about the Cosmic Microwave Background and the Galactic Theater in which the "galactic shadows" help us understand the evolution of the universe and answer the ultimate question of where we're from and where we're going. โ˜„๏ธ

I've had the privilege to listen to this talk. It's highly entertaining and insightful. Hope you'll enjoy it too!

๐Ÿ‘‰Audience๐Ÿ‘ˆ
The talk is suitable for beginner to intermediate amateur astronomers.
