Welcome! I am very glad to announce our first live event, an opportunity to kick off this meetup group with an informal gathering of cyber security colleagues for a bit of networking and control systems security story swapping.

We are fortunate to have not only a great location and exceptionally nice catering but also some panelists highly experienced in control system security matters.

Panelists: Ernest Wohnig, Sergio Alvarez, and Nicholas Leiserson.

> Ernest Wohnig, Experienced International Cybersecurity Executive and Global Security Advisor, Deputy CISO. Mr. Wohnig is an internationally recognized cyber security and assurance leader, having written, presented, and advised senior corporate and federal leadership on security and assurance issues across the energy sector and to the U.S. federal government for over 20 years. Mr. Wohnig is a key figure shaping the discussion and practice of cyber security in the critical infrastructure and industrial control system arenas.

> Sergio Alvarez, Head of Security Research at Inoffensive Technologies. Currently focusing on Offensive and Persistent Security technologies, Mr. Alvarezis a security researcher with over 15 years of experience who has delivered projects for the biggest corporations and agencies in the world as pen-tester, source code auditor, reverse engineer, forensic analyst, security tools developer, application security designer, secure network designer, home banking designer and tester, protocol analyst/tester and security researcher.

> Nicholas Leiserson, Legislative Director for Congressman Jim Langevin. Mr. Leiserson is a senior member of the US House Armed Services and Homeland Security Committees and co-founder of the Congressional Cybersecurity Caucus. Leiserson serves as Langevin’s principal advisor on an array of issues, particularly homeland security, judiciary, and technology policy. He is the co-lead staffer for the Cybersecurity Caucus and also the curator of the Caucus’ weekly news roundup. He is a founding board member of the Congressional Tech Staff Association and an active participant in the National Telecommunications and Information Administration’s vulnerability disclosure process.
