Seasons opening - Cycle & dine - Asparagus in Beelitz

ROUTE:
As every year the cycling season starts with a tour to the most delicious Asparagus you can find in Brandenburg, at the restaurant "Zur Alten Brauerei" in Beelitz, www.zuraltenbrauerei.de

After 20 years of enjoying life (and Aspargus) and gazillions of visits in Beelitz I know every Tree and every Stone alongside any possible public route to Beelitz.
In search of something "new", or at least different I found a way from Seddin to Beelitz and return via Heilstätten and Glindow to Werder.
The link to the route on komoot will be send to the attendees the day before.

In the very likely event that there is a capacity for an additional cake we do a little detour to a Cafe in the old town of Werder. Otherwise we head to the train station.

SPEED:
Leisurely around 14 km/h.
This is like "Being able to see the details on the side of the road and enjoying the view in general."

DISTANCE AND TERRAIN:
This is approx. 35 km ride, with mixed but mostly forrest paths.
Bikes with thin tyres (Race bikes, Fixies), rented bikes (Uber, Swapfiets) or any special bikes (Folding bikes, BMX etc.) are not suitable! You won't have fun, trust me!

MEETING POINT:
11:15 - outside Seddin train station at the parking spot.
I have a blue Villiger Trekking bike and may wear some greenish clothes.

TICKET:
Outbound to Seddin is 4,70 for Berlin ABC. Inbound from Werder as well. So a Berlin-Brandenburg-Ticket does not make sense this time.
Don't forget to get your bike ticket: 24-hour ticket bicycle VBB network for 6,50 EUR

WAY OUT:
10:14 - dep. Berlin Ostkreuz, platform 2, RE 7 (3747) to Bad Belzig
10:52 - dep. Berlin Wannsee, platform 5
11:12 - arr. Seddin
I'd suggest to take the train either where they start (Ostkreuz) or Wannsee since it is usually quite packed within Berlin.
Depending on my mood I will either hop in in Ostkreuz or Wannsee.

WAY BACK:
17:19 - dep. Werder(Havel), platform 2, RE 1 (73738)
17:38 - arr. Berlin Wannsee
18:01 - arr. Berlin Friedrichstrasse
This train runs :19 and :37 every hour.
Please check the timetable in the morning!
The Deutsche Bahn like to stir up plans by suddenly changing timetables and trains.

RECOMMENDATIONS:
Please make sure your bike is in a proper state! Check your tyre pressure and oil the chain! Does your light work?

Having a toolset is highly recommended and a spare inner tube suitable for your tyres to fix a flat tyre a big plus!
While we might be able to help in some circumstances please think about what happens if we can't! Thank you!

Bringing special equipment (Helmet, safety vest, mask etc.) is NOT required but welcome if you feel more safe using it.
And don't forget some liquids for yourself, one way or the other!
