Build and Ship an AI-Assisted Full-Stack App
Details
This is the 2nd workshop in our series to update the AI Dev Tools Zoomcamp content.
This workshop updates Module 2: Build and Ship an AI-Assisted Full-Stack App.
In this hands-on session, Alexey Grigorev will show how to use AI tools across the full application workflow, from the first product spec to a deployed full-stack app.
You will see how AI can help with product planning, frontend and backend development, OpenAPI contracts, tests, database integration, Docker, deployment, and CI/CD.
## What You'll Learn
- How to turn an app idea into a product spec
- How to write acceptance criteria before building
- How to work with AI on frontend implementation
- How to define frontend/backend communication with an OpenAPI contract
- How OpenAPI specs help keep AI-generated frontend and backend code aligned
- How to build a FastAPI or Django backend with AI assistance
- How to add database support without losing track of the data model
- How to ask AI for unit and integration tests
- How to debug when the generated app does not work on the first try
- How to containerize the app with Docker
- How to prepare a deployment and CI/CD workflow
- How to make the development workflow reproducible for the final project
By the end, you'll understand how AI tools fit into a real end-to-end application workflow, not just isolated code generation.
Like the other workshops, this will be a live demo with practical tips and time for Q&A.
