9. Berlin FinOps and Cloud Cost Optimization - 2 July 2024

We're excited to invite you again to another session of our meetup.

We were preparing something toward the end of June to keep a monthly cadence, but our former speaker Shahar is back in town at the beginning of July and kindly proposed another talk, so we decided to change our plans a bit to take advantage of this rare opportunity.

• 19:00 - Opening words and introductions
• 19:10 - Why did you decide to pay so much? - in this presentation and interactive workshop we will discuss the real reasons for over-spending on cloud services, identifying the micro-decisions that can be revisited to better align spend with company goals. Considering this change in plans we're still looking for a host, so we'd really appreciate your help if you can volunteer to host is (see below links), hope it's not too short notice and we can arrange something. We're usually around 20 people so don't need so much space.
