Christian Bohm is a Senior FX TD and creator of [www.houdini-couse.com](https://www.houdini-couse.com), with over 15 years of experience in the field of CG, including 10 years professionally in VFX and 8 years based in London. Originally from Germany, where he studied, Christian brings a deep technical and artistic expertise to his work.

He began his career as a Lighter in London, quickly gravitating toward the technical aspects of the craft. Spending much of his time scripting in PyMEL, he eventually discovered Houdini during a project and immediately recognized it as the tool he had always been searching for. This pivotal moment inspired him to transition to the Effects department, where he has since honed his skills.

Christian has worked across Film, Commercials, and TV for leading studios such as ILM, MPC, Psyop, and Framestore, among others. His portfolio includes high-profile TV shows like *The Witcher*, *The Lazarus Project*, and *Avatar: The Last Airbender*.

Driven by a passion for teaching and a recognition of the growing demand for Houdini expertise, Christian decided to share his knowledge through instructional content, leveraging his ongoing industry experience to provide practical, production-relevant insights.

The platform he created is the culmination of five years of dedicated effort, designed to reflect the quality and depth of his expertise. As an active professional in the VFX industry, Christian ensures his teaching is grounded in real-world applications, offering students invaluable insights into the techniques and workflows used in modern productions.
