Check la Lage is a monthly English improv show at Engels Café featuring a rotating cast of international actors.
Rather than short sketches, Check la Lage challenges four actors to perform mid- or long-form improv. And since it’s improvised, it’s your suggestions that will guide the show! Every performance is completely unscripted, unrehearsed, and unique.
It’s sure to be a funny and unexpected evening. Don't forget to tell your friends - the more the merrier! We hope to see you there.

Check la Lage – “Let’s Check it Out” if you blend a few languages – is a monthly English improv show produced by Lorenz von Römer & Stéphane Piette. We play mid- to long-form shows (one story line for up to 45 minutes with 2 stories per show) with a rotating cast of international actors taking the stage. The show is inspired by the suggestions of our beautiful audience (you!) and every performance is completely unique.
