We meet at S-Bahnhof Plänterwald to skate the „Ostkrone“. The first piece (until we reach the water) is mostly streets/pedestrian walk and then we will skate along the canal on a nice route and finally arrive at S-Bahnhof Adlershof.
This is the route (~13 km):

Optionally we can reward ourselves for making it all together on skates to the "finish line" at Adlershof by stopping for a bite to eat in the Ristorante "I Due Amici".
This event is suitable also for skaters with basic skills (like me), i.e. such who already made a few kilometers on inline skates (or feel quite safe on ice skates) but still might not be able to pirouette ;) or to safely stop yet in any circumstance. However, especially for these ones, but not only, I recommend to join equipped with a full set of skating protectors (knies, elbows, wrist) plus a helmet (e.g. bicycle helmet). In case the level of participants is too different we can skate in two groups, where I'd be going together with the rather basic level skaters (hopefully I won‘t be the only one in that group ;-).
In case you should be late, would like to shorten up the route or to skip the first about 900m long, a bit more difficult to skate part you could also join and wait for us at one of these way points marked in the google maps route:
A - Dammweg at Heidekampgraben
B - Downstairs at Chris-Gueffroy-Brücke
If for any reason you can't join the event please be so kind as to cancel your RSVP as soon as you know (ideally 24 hours before the event).
In case of heavy rain or wet streets, it gets slippery with skates and I’ll be canceling this event.
