I’m thrilled to invite you to our next book club gathering! This time, we’ll delve into the mysterious and morally charged world of Egyptian literature with Karnak Café by Nobel laureate Naguib Mahfouz.
Set in a once-glamorous Cairo café, this compelling novella explores how politics, trust, and power shape the lives of a group of regulars during a turbulent period in Egyptian history. Through intimate conversations and quiet revelations, Karnak Café raises timeless questions about integrity, disillusionment, and the cost of loyalty — all within the span of just a few pages.
