✨ Neurodivergent Speedfriending 💬 - (6th edition) ☀️ READ DESCRIPTION

Details

🌈 This is an event for neurodivergent people who are looking to make new friends. With this event we are hoping to bring people together for the 6th time!

LOCATION: The meetup map might not be acurate, go here https://maps.app.goo.gl/982tc23nUfjtm9Wy7 and find the neurodivergent flag.

If the weather is bad, we will reschedule to Sunday the 24th.

This is NOT A DATING EVENT. Please refrain from disregarding this rule.

Please bring your picnic blanket or seating mat. We will sit outdoors on the ground. Also bring drinks and food to keep yourself hydrated and energized.

🧡 The organizers are all neurodivergent volunteers! Help us in keeping the event welcoming—ask gently, lend a hand if you can, and help us tidy up. Thanks for making this space kind for all!

How does the event go?

  • Event intro: hosts explain the system, arrangement, rules, etc.
  • Ice breakers: Each participant gets a sticker to write their names and topics of interest. Each picnic blanket will get stimming toys and conversation cards.
  • Start: when there are at least 16 people, we will start the event.
  • Latecomers: will be seated at the end of the row. For the full experience please arrive on time.
  • Rounds: there will be 19 rounds with 5-minutes each (including the seat change). When the bell rings, it's time to switch.
  • Half time break: 10 minutes
  • Total: 1,5 hours (excluding break)
  • Breaks: If you feel overwhelmed, notify the host and you can go to the resting spot.
  • REPETITION: the flexibility of this event to respect people's energy will cause repetition. Please understand this.
  • After speedfriending hangout: we can all chat in group setting.

### ♿ Accessibility Info

Need seating support? Let us know—we’ll provide an inflatable sofa so you can be the anchor person (stay in one spot while others rotate).
Note: If multiple people need this, we’ll arrange turns as only one anchor is possible at a time.

What is expected from participants?

  • Respect the organizers' efforts: all of us are neurodivergent volunteers. We all have our challenges and limitations. Please speak to us kindly. Respect goes both ways.
  • Respect Boundaries: If someone seems uncomfortable, gracefully change the subject. If unsure, ask.
  • Respect Time Limits: When the bell rings, please move to the next spot.
  • Follow Up Respectfully: If you wish to continue a conversation after the event, do so respectfully. Ensure the other person is comfortable with further contact. If you want to keep in contact ask for the person's number/socials during the event. Don't contact anyone on meetup without their consent.

We can't wait to see you there and hope you make some amazing new friends. 💬
