Neurodivergent Webinar: Nourish Without Stress (Anna Hamer-Nutritional Therapist
Details
For neurodivergent minds (ADHD, autism, etc.), food can be complicated. It affects how we think, feel, and function, but typical advice rarely accounts for sensory sensitivities, executive dysfunction, or mental load.
This is not a workshop about rules or restriction. It's simply a conversation about building a more comfortable, sustainable relationship with food.
Disclaimer: participant requests for specific nutritional advice or supplement dosages cannot be addressed and should be avoided.
What to expect:
- No presentation: Instead, the facilitator will guide a conversation based on the topics and challenges you bring to the room.
- Share Your Experiences: This is your opportunity to discuss your challenges with food.
- Q&A: ask a question to the facilitator
Technical Requirements for Participation:
- Camera must be ON. This helps create a connected and supportive environment for everyone. If you are unable to keep your camera on, we are sorry that we cannot let you into the event.
- Session will NOT be recorded. However, a text-based transcription may be created. If so, it will be anonymized and shared only with participants after the event.
We'll talk about:
- Why certain nutrients matter for focus and mood in neurodiverse brains
- Understand your sensory needs and work with them, not against them.
- Low-effort approaches for days when decision-making feels impossible
- Gentle patterns that support energy without adding pressure
Focus on Safety and Support:
- We will not promote weight loss, "good" vs. "bad" foods, or any restrictive eating patterns.
- We will not endorse fad diets, extreme elimination diets, or any approach that could be harmful or triggering.
- Instead, we will focus on building a sustainable, compassionate, and flexible approach to nourishment that respects your brain and body's needs.
- Be respectful of the facilitator's time management. We have a lot to cover and want to ensure everyone has a chance to participate.
- Share the space. When you share, please be mindful of giving others time to speak and listen.
- Listen with empathy. We are all coming from different places, and our goal is to support, not judge.

Community Disclaimer
This event is a community-led initiative organized by neurodivergent volunteers who dedicate their time, energy, and resources to create a welcoming space. We strive to make our events as accessible as possible—both financially and in terms of neurodivergent needs—but we also have our own limitations. We kindly ask for your understanding and empathy, as we rely on the support and cooperation of all participants to foster a healthy, inclusive environment.
No guilt. No rigid plans. Just small, practical thoughts on nourishing your body & brain.
