Pilgrim Hike: Döberitzer Heide (21.5 km)

Just west of Berlin lies the Döberitz Heath, a wide expanse of open grassland and wilderness that has grown wild again over the decades. This pilgrimage carries us across that landscape: big skies, quiet paths, and a rare density of life, with some 7,000 species of animals, fungi, and plants sharing this ground. It's a long, open-hearted day for those willing to walk far and look closely.

• Date: Saturday, September 5, 2026
• Start: 9:19 am at Elstal Train Station (Travel via RE4 from Berlin Hauptbahnhof, departing 8:45 am)
• End: afternoon at Dallgow-Döberitz Train Station (Return via RE4 or RB12 toward Berlin, every 30 minutes)

This pilgrimage is an opportunity to slow down, reconnect with nature, and reflect on life's important questions. We'll walk at a relaxed pace, share thoughts, and take time for moments of silence – about 30 minutes to an hour – to listen to nature and our inner voices.

• Bring enough food and water for the whole day.
• Please remember your public transport ticket.
