Pilgrim Hike: Saarmund to Potsdam (14.5 km)

This December pilgrimage brings us into Potsdam on foot through its wooded southern edge. We'll follow a stretch of the European long-distance trail and climb the Kleiner Ravensberg, at 114 metres the highest point in Potsdam, before descending into the city. A shorter, gentle walk for the cold season, unhurried and open to quiet reflection.

• Date: Saturday, December 5, 2026
• Start: 9:39 am at Saarmund Train Station (Travel via FEX from Berlin Hauptbahnhof at 8:52 am, then RB22 from Flughafen BER; or via RB22 from Potsdam Hauptbahnhof at 8:47 am)
• End: afternoon at Potsdam Hauptbahnhof (Return via RE1 or S7 toward Berlin, every 10 minutes)

🤔 Why this pilgrimage?
This pilgrimage is an opportunity to slow down, reconnect with nature, and reflect on life's important questions. We'll walk at a relaxed pace, share thoughts, and take time for moments of silence – about 30 minutes to an hour – to listen to nature and our inner voices.
🔔 What to know & bring

• Wear comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing and sturdy walking or hiking shoes.
• Bring enough food, hot drinks and water for the day.
• Early December can be cold and the ground damp or frozen, so dress warmly and bring waterproof layers.
• Please remember your public transport ticket.
