Details

The winner of Berlin Sci-Fi Film Festival 2024 in the category "Short Stories That Would Make Great Sci-fi Movies," Digital Love Spell - 78% Effective explores love and dating in the era of surveillance capitalism. When Max finds an app that promises to get him a date with his crush, Angeline, the digital love algorithm sends him bizarre tasks to get her attention. What would you do, and who would you hurt, for a 78% chance to make your crush fall in love with you? Join us for a reading from the short story and a discussion about speculative fiction.
