Exhibition @Humboldt Forum - Ancestors, goddesses and heroes - Sculptures from Asia, Africa and Europe 🌍 People have always created objects to which they attributed superhuman powers. Representations of ancestors, goddesses and heroes helped to master personal or collective crises. Over thousands of years and continents, a creative diversity was created that still fascinates today. But can the forces of a figure persist in the exhibition space - detached from their cultural, religious and political contexts? What values and virtues do they reflect?
