Interview Simulation – Practice Your Communication & Design Skills
Details
As part of Berlin Software Designers, we’re hosting an Interview Simulation session — a hands-on meetup to sharpen the skills that matter most for both interviews and architectural discussions.
The same abilities that help you succeed in a job interview — clear communication, structured thinking, and confidence under pressure — are exactly what software architects need when pitching designs to stakeholders, gaining buy-in from managers, or defending trade-offs in design reviews.
#### 💡 How it works
The event is split into two parts:
- Interview Simulation (10 minutes) – One participant acts as the interviewee and answers a round of behavioral and design-focused questions. Each other participant gets to ask him one interview question.
- Feedback Round – The group provides feedback on communication, structure, and clarity. Constructive criticism is encouraged.
We’ll focus on:
- Behavioral questions (“Tell me about yourself”, “Describe a challenge you faced...”)
- Light design problems (high-level reasoning, not code)
No need to prepare anything in advance — just bring curiosity and an open mind.
#### 🎯 Why join
- Practice real-world communication and interview skills
- Learn to give and receive actionable feedback
- Understand how to present design decisions clearly and persuasively
Whether you’re preparing for an interview or simply want to grow as a software designer or architect, this session is for you.
Note: join even if you are on the waiting list. The 10 person max is an artificial limit imposed by meetup, we can accommodate more participant.
