Talk #1:
Operating Kubernetes via gitops
Using Weavework’s flux we will explore how to use git as a single source of truth for operating k8s clusters. This includes components and subtopics like: Cert-Manager, SealedSecrets, Kube2IAM
Stefan Pommerening
Stefan has a professional IT background of over 30 years of experience and is working as a freelance devops for nearly 10 years now. He brings with him extensive knowledge of the AWS cloud and soon found interest in Kubernetes. He is native to Berlin, and likes gaming and barbecue in his garden during summer.
Talk #2:
Lessons learned: Automated internal PKI
Setting up PKI infrastructure to provision internally valid TLS certificates is the easy part. We shall review the harder task of using these certificates properly, and achieving greater security with them.
Sunny Dubey
Sunny has been a Linux user for 20 years, and is a huge fan of open source, and open standards. He has been on various SRE teams for seven years. As a child Sunny lived in the American sector of West Berlin, then NYC for a long time, before moving back to Berlin.
