Beyond the Matrix: Hike to Kromlau & Discover the Devil's Bridge

Immerse yourself in the magic of Kromlau Park, Germany and explore the legendary Rakotzbrücke, also known as the Devil's Bridge! This fairytale bridge boasts a mesmerizing optical illusion - its semi-circular arch reflects in the Rakotzsee lake to form a perfect circle. Built in the 19th century as part of a romantic garden design, the Rakotzbrücke is surrounded by other intriguing features like the "Basalt Organ" rock formation and a hidden grotto. Recently restored, the bridge has gained fame beyond Germany with appearances in movies and video games. Join us for a 11km hike through the park, culminating in a visit to this iconic landmark - a perfect adventure for photographers and history buffs alike!

Hiking level: Intermediate (You should be able to walk 11 km)
Meeting Point: 08:10 AM at Berlin - Hauptbhanhof
This is the plan:

• 08:20 will take the train to Weißwasser
• 10:35 will reach Weißwasser
• After getting coffee, we will start hiking and finish by 16:00 (depending on group speed)
• 16:20 / 17:20 will take the train back to Berlin.
• 18:45 / 19:45 will reach Berlin hbf.

Price: 10 Euro

• Event price includes meetup and organising fee. We will use the Deutschland ticket for transport, so make sure you have it or you will need to buy a ticket for yourself.

You can pay event expenses through PayPal or bank transfer. Details are as below:

• You will receive a WhatsApp group link for this event after you confirm your slot by transferring event expenses.

What to wear or bring with you:
Waterproof hiking/sport shoes and appropriate clothing according to weather. It would be nice to carry water bottles, snacks, or protein bars.

• Cancellations are allowed until 48 hours before the event start time.
• No refund in case of a No-show
• Full refund if the event is cancelled.
