Bloody Art! The Body Under the Microscope
Art & Science Workshop
Join us for a new workshop that brings art and science together, co-led by Cristina Brischetto, Molecular Biologist and of course, Lu. Together, they will guide you into the fascinating world of blood—exploring its vital role in the body and its hidden beauty under the microscope.
This workshop is divided into two parts. In the first part, Cristina will introduce the science of blood in a short, engaging, and accessible way, sharing how blood cells function, travel, and work tirelessly to keep us alive.
In the second part, Lu will guide participants through watercolour techniques with live demonstrations, focusing on fluidity, movement, and organic forms. Inspired by microscopic images, participants will learn about biology while painting their own artistic interpretation of blood cells, linking artistic expression with scientific imagery.
No prior artistic experience is required—just curiosity and an open mind. Come explore the rhythms, colours, and stories flowing within you.
