Title:
Intermediate PyMC: hidden features to improve Bayesian workflow

Abstract:

PyMC is a popular and powerful open-source library for Bayesian modelling. However, many features in the library aren't well advertised. These features can potentially speed up inference as well as making your workflow use significantly less lines of code. In this talk, I will discuss less well-known or very recent features in PyMC that will greatly improve your Bayesian workflow.

Bio:

Rob Zinkov is a Solutions Architect at Quansight. He has a specific passion for the open-source statistical software ecosystem. Previously, he was a research scientist at Indiana University where he was the lead developer of the Hakaru probabilistic programming language. He is an active and regular contributor to the PyMC, arviz, blackjax and beanmachine open-source projects.
