Tacit Meta-Programming

Details

In our February meetup we are happy to have Odin Holmes talking about "Tacit Meta-Programming":

"Although a talk on a C++11 metaprogramming may seem outdated in 2018, we have only recently found new ways to leverage aliases to do much of the heavy lifting. More alias use as well as some key implementation details allow us to beat other libraries, more modern language features and even some compiler intrinsics in compilation speed. This talk will start at the very basics of TMP and build to the cutting edge of continuation style metaprogramming which we developed in the kvasir::mpl library."

For those of you who do not know Odin, he has given quite a lot of talks about template programming at C++Now, CppCon and Meeting C++. He has been on the cpp-cast podcast (http://cppcast.com/2017/03/odin-holmes) and is co-organizer of the emBO++ conference (https://www.embo.io) dedicated to embedded C++ programming.

The meetup will take place at the offices of think-cell Software in Mitte. There will be pizza and drinks, so come on time! The talk will start at 8 pm as usual.
