Details

More details to be announced, but we're planning to host a special bigger edition of our Talk & Play event at the end of the summer at a different location... stay tuned for updates!

Talk & Play is a free event that provides the opportunity to game enthusiasts, players and makers to meet in a friendly, relaxed and safe environment. Everybody's welcome, regardless of their background and knowledge level: if you've got any interest in games, we'll make sure you have a good time! This is NOT an event only aimed at developers.

The event series is sponsored by Happy Broccoli, the Berlin indie game studio behind the Duck Detective series. If you'd also like to sponsor the event, please get in touch!

HOW IT WORKS

The event is made of 2 parts:

  • TALK: Game-related presentations + announcements from the community
  • PLAY: All participants are welcome to exhibit projects they've made

ADDITIONAL INFO

Since restarting the event in 2023 we have asked attendees to wear a face mask. This requirement feels incredibly anachronistic these days so at the end of 2025 we decided to drop the requirement. That being said, we ask everyone showing any signs of illness to be considerate and refrain from attending the event. FFP2 masks will continue to be available at the door and we support anyone who feels like wearing one to protect themselves and others 💜

Are you attending the event for the first time, or are you coming on your own? The Talk & Play Ambassadors will be there to assist and answers any questions you have.

Our Safe Space Policy http://berlingamescene.com/safe-space-policy/ encourages the behaviour at Talk & Play. We request that everyone who is affiliated with and participates to the event honours it.

Our event is documented by Julian Dasgupta https://www.flickr.com/photos/12601747@N00/albums — for those who don’t want to be appear in any pictures, we're going to distribute stickers at the door to wear and signal this.

Alcoholic drinks will not be sold or allowed to be consumed during the event.

This event is organised by the Gamestorm Berlin e.V.
