May Day | From Streets to Zines: A Photography and Editorial Production Workshop

Join us for an exciting two-day Street Reportage Photography and Editorial Production workshop, taking place on May 1st in Berlin, Germany, also known as May Day.

In this workshop, you'll learn how to handle an entire day of shooting in the city, capturing the best pictures that represent the day. We'll divide the photographers into groups and areas of the city to get the most out of our time.

We'll have two meeting points in the city where we can come together every 3 hours, and there will be a private group on Telegram where we can share news about our movement in the city and situations.

After the day of shooting, we'll have a second day of meetings where we'll choose the pictures of each person and start working on the composition of the magazine. We'll print a test copy of the zine and a copy for each member who joined the workshop. No knowledge of photography is required, and all you need is a camera or phone that allows you to take pictures.

The workshop is limited to a maximum of 20 participants, ensuring personalized attention from the instructor. You'll have the opportunity to meet like-minded people, explore the city, and learn new skills while having fun.

May Day in Berlin is an exciting day filled with street festivals, parties, and concerts. The center of celebrations around German Labor Day is the Myfest in Kreuzberg. However, May Day is celebrated all over the city with events for the whole family.

The night of April 30th, known as Walpurgis Night, is also celebrated in Berlin with dancing events and celebrations. This old tradition is still honored today, and you'll have the opportunity to be a part of it while exploring the city and capturing its essence through your photography.
