Sunday Loop Hike: Briesen to Gut Klostermühle, Alt-Madlitz and back (18 km)

This Sunday's hike starts in Briesen, a small town halfway between Berlin and Frankfurt (Oder).
It features lakes and (swampy) forests with a boardwalk, a water mill with a restaurant where we can stop for a break and swim if you're already up for it.
Next is Neu-Madlitz with its palace and the oldest English landscape park in Brandenburg before we make our way back to Briesen through fields & forest.
There might be an option for pizza stop in Briesen before taking the train back to Berlin!
Meet us in the first car of the train RE1, departing from
Ostkreuz station at 11:16 AM on platform 1,
arriving at Briesen (Mark) at 12:00
Unless you subscribed to the Deutschlandticket, you'll need to buy a (return trip) ticket to Briesen (Mark).
Please note:
- As a grown-up, you are responsible for yourself.
- Come prepared for cold and windy weather.
- Wear appropriate footwear, we may come across some muddy sections.
- Forecasts predict low chance of rain, but you never know...
- Bring enough water, food and some cash with you.
