Summer Hike & Swim: Groß Köris to Oderin (26 km)

On this hike, we cross a former military airport that nature is claiming back, long streches of forest, views of the Dahme river (mosquito alert - bring repellent!), the village of Märkisch Buchholz and forest again until we get to lake Köthen where there's a chance to cool down in the water.

Then there's the final part to the town of Oderin, where trains run every hour to Berlin.

Meet us in the first car of the train RE7, departing from
Ostkreuz station at 11:02 on platform 1,
arriving at Groß Köris at 11:33.

Unless you are subscribed to the Deutschlandticket, you need to buy a train ticket to Groß Köris and back from Oderin.

Please note:

• As a grown-up, you are responsible for yourself.
• Come prepared for wet and windy weather.
• Wear appropriate footwear, we may come across some muddy sections.
• Bring enough water, mosquito repellent, food and some cash with you.
• Please be fair and only RSVP if you are sure you can make it and update if your plans change.
