Word about the Trail:
With the early onset of summer, the Aare should “just” be warm enough for a short dip! And if not, it’s definitely warm enough for a riverside Drink Stop. Heck, why not both? Walkers will be given shortcuts.

ATTENTION: swimming in the Aare is great fun, but only for good swimmers. The current is quite strong and getting out requires a bit of dexterity. You will need to carry anything you need with on Trail (towel, bikini, mankini, flippers, mermaid suit, etc.). If you’re unsure whether jumping into a fast-moving cold river is for you, ask a member of Mis-Management and we can advise you.

How to get there:
Get yourself to the Bern Main Station (HB) and head for the main hall. The meeting point is in front of the big schedule board. Look for people dressed for running and likely speaking English.
