Installation instructions (message service does not work unfortunately)
1. Create an n8n account
Please create an account on[ https://n8n.io.](https://n8n.io.)

• If this is your first time using n8n, you can work with the free trial account during the event.
• If you’ve already used the trial and it has expired, you’ll need to start a subscription. You can cancel it again after the event.

2. Bring your credit card
For some of the advanced challenges, we’ll need to register for access to an LLM provider. While we plan to use free plans, a credit card is usually required for account creation.
3. Bring your laptop
Please bring your laptop. We’ll provide WLAN vouchers, or you’re welcome to use your own hotspot.

Automation is everywhere — from simple task orchestration to complex integrations between systems. Tools like n8n make it possible to build powerful, flexible workflows without locking yourself into proprietary platforms.

In this Hack Night, we’ll dive into n8n, the open-source workflow automation tool. We’ll explore how to connect APIs, automate recurring tasks, integrate services, and design maintainable workflows that can run locally or in the cloud. The focus is on experimentation, learning by doing, and exchanging ideas.

Whether you already use automation tools or are completely new to n8n, this evening is about trying things out, breaking stuff, and learning together. Coding experience is not needed.

Hands-on
This is a hands-on Hack Night. Together, we’ll:

• Get an overview of n8n’s core concepts
• Build and extend workflows step by step
• Experiment with triggers, nodes, APIs, and custom logic

Please bring your own laptop. Installation instructions and prerequisites will be shared a few days before the event so you can prepare in advance.

No Hack Night is complete without good company and good food. We’ll take breaks to relax, exchange ideas, and network — while enjoying pizza and drinks with fellow tech enthusiasts.
