Bitcoin is a strange beast. I will try my best to give a good overview of the history and motives behind Bitcoin, explain how it works and what it achieves, and why it is already today the native monetary system of cyberspace. My talk will also cover how the Lightning Network, a decentralized, peer-to-peer payment network, leverages Bitcoin to enable fast and secure payments.
