This is not a real event, I am just posting it so I can get the pics, and recap on meetup.
Recap of Part 20, Act 2.
The PC’s continued by going to the next room down the hallway in the third wing, Thoxl listened and checked for traps, not finding any traps, and not hearing anything they opened the large door. Inside there was a gargantuan clockwork dragon, and two clockwork guards, behind the dragon there was also a chest sitting on a table in the back of the room. The party entered the room causing the clockworks to attack, Diwa got grabbed by the dragon and was stuck in its mouth for a round, then Thoxl also ended up in the creatures mouth soon after. Camilla cast haste, and attacked with her Eidolon, Morgan went in for melee attacks, also casting shocking grasp on his weapon. Nephys came in late but cast some damaging spells. It would take a few rounds for the party to destroy the constructs, well worth it since they found some ioun stones in the chest, after Thoxl disabled the trap on it. Some of the party also heard a sporadic soft hum coming from below them, something mechanical in nature. The party assumes this is the Synchrony device that shifts other planes on top of each other, the clock is ticking.
The party makes it to the convergence hall to teleport down to the doomsday stores, and when they assemble Jazradan pays them a visit again, he says he will shut down the machine once the party gets inside.
Once inside the doomsday stores, the party ran into more clockwork guards. The party would have to get past the guards to go down the hallway where the Synchrony device was running. The party started fighting the guards, Diwa in bear form, with a flanking Thoxl did some good damage, Morgan was able to use more shocking grasp spells with his attacks, Camilla now had a summoned angel to attack, and heal with, while she threw her axe, Nephys made some tentacle attacks from a spell. Thoxl spotted a small cube of blue on a platform next to the machine, so he wanted a closer look and flew over some guards, and past another by the hall. Thoxl had true seeing on and spotted two invisible Aboleths waiting by the side at the end of the hallway. Nephys joined Thoxl to help disable the machine. The spherical room the Synchrony device was in had strange characteristics, the inside was a sphere of air, surrounded by a sphere of water. The device sat on a platform that extended from the hallway to the middle of the sphere of air.
Thoxl made it to the blue cube, that had become darker as time went on, with a closer look Thoxl could make out that the cube of water was over the island the colony is on. Thoxl while trying to get closer to the control panel, had an encounter with Jazradan who moved up through the floor. Jazradan tried to possess Thoxl, but was not able to, possession is something ghosts do giving a clue as to what Jazradan had become.
The parties main concern was turning off the machine, and they remembered that the machine had a safety built in it, if drowned in water it would shut down. Nephys being made of water went on top of the device and soaked it, causing it to shut down.
Morgan, Diwa, and Camilla took out the rest of clockwork guards, and joined Thoxl, and Nephys who were fighting the two Aboleths, and Ochymua the veiled master in the main chamber. After the machine was turned off, Jazradan attacked Ochymua, the party was not sure what side he was on at this point. The Aboleths and Ochymua did some damage to the party, but the PC’s would not be stopped, and they defeated the Aboleths, now left with what to do with the ghost of Jazradan. After a brief discussion about what might put the ghost to rest, they figured killing Ochymua and destroying the holographic images of Jazradan located about the islands would do it, so the party destroyed the ghost.
The PC’s concerned about the colony returns right away to see what damage may have happened. When they first arrive, they can see everything is wet like there was a heavy downpour. The colonists explain that it got very humid, making it a little hard to breathe, then it kept getting worse until it was watery, like rain but large piles of water to regular size rain, and very humid, making it even harder to breathe. It lasted less than 30 seconds but seemed like an eternity. The colonists mention they also saw some humanoid water creatures coming ashore, but when the rain stopped, they went back in the water.
The party tells the story of the last part of their quest to stop Ochymua from destroying the world, their trip to the compass facility, going through the 3 wings to get the ioun stone keys to enter the dooms day stores, and then the final battle with Ochymua. The colonists listen in awe, they blurt out sighs, and wows, at the end of the tale the colonists rejoice, praise the party for their good deeds and ask the party to stay at the colony, or on the island.
