Understanding scientific books by programming them

Details

The talk is about the ”Time Hybrids” book by Fred Van Oystaeyen.
Various phenomena of quantum theory and relativity theory, which, until now, have been considered counter- intuitive, can, within the generic theory of reality of the book, be viewed in a more intuitive way.
The talk shows that trying to understand the book by encoding its concepts using a programming language with a sufficiently powerful type system can help gaining progressive insight into the concepts of the book.

Warning:
This is by no means a regular BeScala Meetup talk.
Attending it will probably not improve your coding skills :-) .

The number of attendees is limited because of the size of the room.

Nevertheless, Everybody is cordially invited.

CU, Luc,
cycling and gardening, still addicted to mathematics and programming.
