* For over a decade, Alan Reed has led the teams responsible for innovating the products and services that catapulted bet365 to the front of the global online betting market and kept it there. As Head of Sports Development, he and his team made many breakthroughs and delivered huge innovations in the pursuit of one crucial question — how to deliver an immersive experience to millions of concurrent players in real-time. Seeing an opportunity to explore new technologies and identify the meaningful and lasting contribution they could make to the business, he recently took up the reins of a new department, the Platform Innovation Hub. As Head of Platform Innovation, Alan is focused on harnessing internal and external innovation and channeling it to drive game-changing breakthroughs in process, product, and platform design.

Tony spent seven years at booking.com as a Data Scientist, then headed up their Data and AI function exploiting natural language algorithms to better improve the quality of travel data and journey conversions.
Tony also developed a SaaS solution that was sold as an API to other travel partners and led on the Data and AI due diligence as part of the $1 billion acquisition of Getaroom.

I focus on leveraging cutting-edge tools like OpenAI, Microsoft Copilot, Studio, and Fabric to build intelligent, scalable data solutions that drive efficiency and innovation. My expertise lies in creating seamless data pipelines and architectures that enhance productivity, with a strong emphasis on utilising Azure Fabric and Microsoft’s ecosystem for business intelligence and data integration.
 
I am particularly passionate about integrating AI and machine learning into data solutions. I have extensive experience in Python-based machine learning frameworks, including TensorFlow and PyTorch, enabling me to build models that provide predictive analytics and real-time insights. Whether it’s enhancing Copilot responses through NLP techniques or building advanced machine learning pipelines, I work to transform data into actionable insights, optimising both performance and decision-making across the organisation.”
