Watch the movie on our own, then gather on Zoom for a discussion. What a concept! That's how we roll at the Beth Ami Good Movie Club focused on provocative films with a connection to Jewish and/or Humanistic values.
The film this time is "Crossing Delancey", a 1988 romantic comedy starring Amy Irving and Peter Riegert. For her role, Amy Irving was nominated for a Golden Globe: Best Actress in a Motion Picture - Comedy or Musical. One critic referred to this film as “the ultimate Jewish rom-com" and a rare great story of "outwardly Jewish love".
Watch it, think about it, and join in our brief Havdalah service and movie discussion.
