Celebrate Sukkot - Humanistically
Details
Sukkot is the Jewish fall harvest festival where we decorate a sukkah and eat a bit under its roof open to the sky. This year our sukkah is being designed and erected by one of our B’Mitzvah students! We are all excited to see this backyard creation made by a clever Destination Imagination competitor.
We will all make and shake lulavs out of local Colorado flora, sing some songs, listen to some stories related to the holiday, and of course eat.
Please come dressed for the Colorado weather and bring a harvest vegetable to share. We are also collecting non-perishable goods to donate to Community Food Share.
Click the attend button and we will send you the send the exact address a few days before the event.
Beth Ami, the only Humanistic Jewish congregation in Colorado, is a proud affiliate of the Society for Humanistic Judaism. We celebrate Jewish holidays, learning and life cycle events through the secular lens of history, culture, and reason. We believe in the human capacity to create a better world without supernatural intervention.
Beth Ami is a welcoming community where we connect to Jewish past, celebrate Jewish present and link to Jewish future through a humanistic philosophy. We encourage anyone interested in learning about Humanistic Judaism to attend this and all our events.
Let's do Jewish together - Humanistically!
