Thinking V.S. Acting, What is your balance? | Habit Tracking #18

Details

Do you find yourself overthinking decisions that could be made quickly? Or perhaps jumping into action without sufficient reflection? How much time do you spend planning versus doing? Is there an optimal balance between analysis and execution that serves your goals?
These questions touch on one of the most fundamental challenges in building better habits: the tension between thinking and acting. Some of us get trapped in endless planning cycles, researching the perfect approach but never starting. Others leap into action without direction, only to realize they're moving fast in the wrong direction.
In response to these patterns, we'll explore this dynamic together. I will bring some paper and sharpies for you to draw on. We'll then examine our own tendencies - are you more likely to over-plan or under-prepare? Or perhaps you figured out the perfect method that works for you? How can we calibrate this balance for more effective habit formation?

Agenda

  1. Introduction & Guidelines: Framing our shared space for openness and respect.
  2. Thinking VS Acting: Lets do the small excercise of thinking vs acting and discuss about it.
  3. Progress & New Habits: Celebrate wins, troubleshoot challenges, and exchange strategies.
  4. Open Socializing: Connect informally with Luxembourg’s growth-minded community.

Communication Guidelines
To foster a supportive environment:

  • No judgment: Critique ideas, not people. Constructive feedback is encouraged. Respect is the most important.
  • Respect privacy: What’s shared here stays here.
  • Accountability: Confirm or cancel your spot at least one day in advance. 3 no-shows per year may restrict your eligibility for future events, and 6 last-minute cancellations per year will prioritize waitlisted participants.

Why Join?
This group began from a simple realization: discipline thrives in community, not isolation. After years of overestimating my own self-sufficiency, I created this space to learn from Luxembourg’s diverse voices—artists, engineers, parents, dreamers. Your perspective matters here.
Note: This event will be held in English.
