Prose Mechanics - Session One

Welcome to Prose Mechanics, a new and original course to improve the style of your prose and the power of your rhetoric.

In session one - our first session in a series of workshops - we introduce and establish the vocabulary and language we can use to talk about well-written, stylistically beautiful sentences - the kind of sentences we find in our favorite prose writers.

Each workshop uses a progressive series of intuitive exercises to illuminate key points, before we write, share, and discuss our own writing.
