The Amsterdam Chess & Sudoku Club (called Better than Acid by its members) meets every Saturday at Westerperk Coffee to enjoy chess, sudoku, crossword puzzles, and other brain-teasing challenges in a friendly and informal atmosphere.

Whether you're an experienced chess player, a passionate puzzle solver, or simply someone looking to meet new people over a good cup of coffee, you'll find a place here. Our gatherings are all about stimulating conversation, friendly competition, and enjoying the simple pleasure of exercising the mind while relaxing with others.
Beyond chess and puzzles, we are also curious about each other's hobbies and enjoy sharing skills and interests. If you have a passion you want to share with the other members, we can make a thematical session out of it (e.g. sewing, knitting, embroidery, wood carving, and many other crafts and creative pursuits).

The club is a space where intellectual curiosity and creativity meet.
