HOW IT WORKS

Anyone who's been to our regular "Mingle By Cards" events knows there is an amazing vibe to these meetups.

We put you with people who match your general social type, so you make amazing connections straight away.

1. Register for events by taking the Social Type quiz at https://betterconnect.events/register/

2. Purchase an Eventbrite ticket on our website, or go to here.
Select your Social Type at ticket purchase, then attend event.

NOTE: You will need to take quiz to know your Social Type. Purchasing a ticket without taking the quiz (by randomly selecting a Social Type for ticket purchase) will make the event less enjoyable for you. Please accept taking the quiz as a necessary part of attending an event.

3. Normally these events are termed Mingle By Card events, because the social types are named after playing cards. For this event though, you still book tickets by card types, even though the event activity is snooker/pool.

VENUE SPECIFIC DETAILS

The Red Triangle Snooker Hall is on the top floor, hidden in a lazy laneway of Fitzroy.
Nothing will prepare you for the 'old time' vibe of this place.
Oh, and they make some of the best milkshakes Melbourne has to offer! Well worth attending just to try one!

WHAT HAPPENS AT THE EVENT
For Friending, or Mingle events, we match people to groups according to their Social Type. Think of it like the Harry Potter sorting-hat for finding who will be your besties. We sort only into four groups. We look after the seating arrangements (who sits with who), and provide some suggestions for conversation starters to help get things going.

For the first hour, you will mingle with a nominated social group (as you play snooker/pool), and rotate to chat with people just in that group. For the second hour, there will be mingling with all the other groups (as you play snooker/pool).

Quiz information will never be shared with other members, other than simply stating your Social Type at an event (one of four groups). We name these after playing cards. So the Spades, the Clubs, the Diamonds and the Hearts. We like to keep it pretty simple.

TICKETS, EXCHANGES, REFUNDS

If you have a ticket and cannot attend, please let us know immediately. A refund will ONLY be guaranteed if you request it via email before 1:00pm, 2 days before booked event.

Exchanges can be done up to 24 hours before event.

Email us at contact@betterconnect.events

With requests for refunds (2 days or more prior to event), the ticket will automatically be transferred to the next available event date. This frees up the old ticket while we contact you and arrange refund details.

If your cancellation is last-minute or sent via social media we will most likely not exchange or refund your ticket. The best thing to do is gift it to a colleague or friend.
