We spend, we send so much of our money to large corporations that are incapable of caring about the degree to which they are hallowing the economies of our local communities. We know its happening. Its affecting all of us. Let's set a day every week to begin changing our habits. We'll call it "Buy Local Friday!"

On Fridays, we don't buy online. On Fridays, we avoid Walmart and Kroger and local food chains.

For my part, I'm moving in the direction of avoiding purchasing from transnational corporations and other large businesses. I've cancelled my online subscriptions to Amazon, Google and basically everything else. You can do the same if you want to go that far.
