What we’re about
BETWEEN is about YOUR FAITH and HUMAN CONNECTION. We're a different kind of faith group built for curious, welcoming, thoughtful people who want to reconnect a lonely, divided, disconnected world. We're highly inclusive of all love-filled beliefs, identity expressions, and faith backgrounds. Bring YOUR beliefs and discuss how we can learn from ancient spiritual wisdom to be better at HUMAN CONNECTION.
This is a local chapter based on the global BETWEEN movement. We typically plan a meetup open to anyone, get to know one another a little, discuss a recent BETWEEN sermon or article, and leave empowered to create more moments of sacred human connection in our lives.
Some things to know…
-We won’t ask for money.
-We won’t try to get you to believe what we believe.
-We will use BETWEEN’s 4 Community -Agreements to guide us.
-We will welcome you no matter what your experience with faith/spirituality/religion has been in the past.
-We aren't trying to recruit you into a religion or a church or anything.
-We just care about creating moments of sacred human connection while we're together... and encouraging you to create more moments of sacred human connection in your life.
We want to gather people so that we can spend time together and explore faith together… each in our own way. We want to invite people of faith, people of doubt, people who pray all the time, people who don’t pray, people who go to “church” or “temple” (or whatever) every week, and people who have been hurt by organized religion… We want to remind everyone that the most sacred place on earth is the space between us, if we choose to see it that way.

BETWEEN is a completely affirming and inclusive community full of love and celebration for all that you are 🏳️🌈. We affirm, celebrate, and honor every identity and background. All gender expressions, all races, all sexual identities, all religions, all abilities, all socioeconomic circumstances, all ages, all previous & current religious affiliations, all… people. We recognize and acknowledge the historical oppression of many peoples, and we actively seek to create a welcoming, encouraging, and empowering space for all in today’s modern world. All are welcome here. The only people not welcome are the people who don't welcome all.
The space BETWEEN us is sacred.

Colorado Coffee Communion (A Spiritual Conversation over Warm Drinks)
Happy Crew Coffee House, 9044 Forsstrom Dr Fl 2, Lone Tree, CO, USCoffee Communion is a simple gathering inviting you to pause, breathe, and remember the sacredness of the space between us. In a cozy local coffee shop, a small group of people (most of whom won't know each other already... so you'll fit right in) will discuss spirituality (their own) and how it might help us all create more moments of sacred connection in our lives. Facilitated by the Executive Director of BETWEEN, Matt Mattson.
Expect:
- a warm welcome and low-pressure environment
- a grounding reading or reflection to begin
- meaningful (but accessible) spiritual conversation
- time to connect with others who are seeking community, wholeness, and hope
- the simple communion of warm drinks and shared humanity
- a clear ending time (1 hour after we begin)
- free parking lots right next to the building and across the street
- arrive (5-10 min early is best), buy your own warm drink, and join our group whenever you get there.
This isn’t a church service.
It’s a gathering of people who believe that sacred moments happen anywhere honest conversation and care are shared.
Come as you are — no beliefs required, no expectations placed on you, no requests for donations.
Just bring yourself, your curiosity, and a willingness to connect.
