Sunday. Outside.
A Church-ish Gathering at a Trailhead
This Sunday at 8:00 AM, I’m trying something simple at South Valley Park.
We'll meet near the NORTH trailhead at one of the two picnic table pavilions for about 45 minutes of outdoor sacred community.
There’ll be a few minutes to arrive, say hello, and settle in. Then we’ll share a sacred text, a short reflection, a little conversation, and some prayer together.
That’s it.
No building. No dress code. No pressure. No expectation that everyone believes the same things.
It'll probably be a small group. It'll be very casual. It'll be full of love.
Just a beautiful place, some good people, and a little space to reconnect with God, ourselves, and each other.
After we wrap up, anyone who wants to can stick around and walk the trail with someone (I have to leave right away to go help at another church on the other side of town later that morning).
Come alone. Bring a friend. Bring coffee. Bring a chair if you’d like.

Sunday morning
BETWEEN is rooted in a simple belief: The space between us is sacred.
Let’s see what happens when we make a little room for that outside.
(Direction advice: Take C-470 to the Ken Caryl exit. Go west from that exit into the valley. When the road splits at the light, stay left. Go through the stop sign. You'll see the NORTH trailhead on your left. There is a large parking lot, a pond, and a building with restrooms. The picnic pavilions are up on the side of the hill, easily visible from the parking lot.)
