Hotel du Lac follows Edith Hope, a romantic novelist who retreats to a quiet hotel on Lake Geneva after a personal scandal in London. As she observes the eccentric guests and reflects on her own choices, Edith is confronted with the tensions between independence and belonging, appearance and reality, love and compromise.
