This October, we’re heading to Oxford in the midst of autumn with The Bookbinder of Jericho by Pip Williams.

Set in 1914, the novel takes us behind the scenes of the Oxford University Press, where Peggy Jones works as a bookbinder, carefully crafting beautiful books while dreaming of a life beyond the confines of the bindery. As the First World War begins to change the world around her, Peggy’s life—and the lives of those she works alongside—begins to change too.

Expect beautiful books, secret worlds, friendships, love, ambition and wartime Oxford, all wrapped up in Pip Williams’ wonderfully evocative storytelling. 🕯️🍂
