What we’re about
Between Worlds Brooklyn is a local meetup group centered on shared cultural experiences and community building.
We gather around museums, music, traditions, films, and other cultural events to explore how people experience the city while living between cultures, places, languages, or worlds. Some of us are immigrants or children of immigrants; others are simply curious, culturally engaged, and drawn to spaces shaped by more than one perspective.
This is a social group first, built around activities. Events are planned with care and often include casual time together at a café or nearby spot, either before or after, to break the ice with new members, offer light cultural context, or continue the conversation.
Between Worlds Brooklyn is:
• Brooklyn-focused, while occasionally exploring cultural events across NYC and the surrounding area
• Cultural and activity-led
• Secular, while open to religious or traditional spaces as cultural experiences
• Designed for people who value curiosity, respect, and low-pressure connection
• Open to anyone aligned with these values and intentions
Between Worlds Brooklyn is about building community through shared experiences, thoughtful presence, and an interest in culture as it’s lived, practiced, and carried across places.
If you enjoy exploring culture and meeting people in a way that feels grounded and spacious, you’ll likely feel at ease with us.
