We’re gathering in Astoria’s “Little Egypt” to experience the densely Arab populated neighborhood Eid festivities including NYC Eid Festival & Market on Steinway Street.
We’ll begin at Moka & Co at 12:30 PM for coffee and introductions, then walk together into the festival (located along Steinway Street between 25th Ave and 28th Ave).
The festival runs from 1:00–6:00 PM and features vendors, food, music, and community celebration marking the Eid season.
We’ll be moving around at a relaxed pace, following group consensus rather than a preset route. We may stop along the way, explore different sections of the festival, grab food or drinks as we go, and possibly sit down together for lunch or visit one of the dessert shops nearby.

What to expect
• A lively, family-friendly street market atmosphere
• Food vendors and Eid sweets
• Community booths and local businesses
• Music and celebration in one of NYC’s most culturally layered neighborhoods
This is a cultural and social gathering. No religious participation required — just curiosity and respect for the space.

Notes
• Please RSVP thoughtfully and update if plans change.
• Dress comfortably for walking and being outdoors.
• Please arrive on time. To keep it smooth, we won’t be able to wait for late arrivals or coordinate separate meetups during the event. If you miss the start, it’s best to catch the next gathering.
• This is a public event in a busy neighborhood. Please take responsibility for your own safety and belongings.
